I've been a member of Paltalk.com now since Sept. 15, 2009 and so far it's turned out to be the very best audio/video chat service floating around on the net. A Plus (Blue) subscription is very reasonable at 39.95 per year and gives well (at least good video) although it's choppy which really started getting on my nerves. The next level up is Extreme (Green) which gives television quality audio and video which is the next level I chose at 59.95 for a years subscription and I have no plans to go to VIP (Purple) at 149.95 a year, mainly because it's to expensive and there's no real benefit to it.
Hello my name is Roy, I served in the Army from 1967 to 1969 and in Vietnam with only 7 months active remaining time in the Military, and came out of the closet in the mid 70's when it wasn't especially cool to come out. I am a true blood born rolling stone, born in the backseat of a car smack dab on the middle of the county line of Chico and Drew County in Arkansas way back in 19 and 47. Those were the days and times of the Klu Klux Klan in Pine Bluff and my family had actual experience with them one night when they came wearing white sheets and hoods and burned a cross in our yard, my dad threatened to shoot the first son of a bitch that sat foot on his porch. I can still remember my mom screaming and getting everyone out of bed, the KKK had hung an old black woman simply because she had befriended my mom. So much for fine upstanding Southern Hospitality in the days of the 40's,50's and 1960's. To be gay in those days in the wrong place and known to the wrong people could either get you severly beaten or tortured and killed as quickly as being black.

I came of age in the turbulent 60's and although the Civil Rights Movement rightfully started in the mid to late 50's with Rosa Parks it was the early 60's when the Civil Rights Movement was really thrust into the public's attention, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the assassination of John F Kennedy, and later in 1968 the assignation of his brother Robert Kennedy. I was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield at the time of Robert Kennedy's assassination and the entire base was put on full alert because of a rumor the base was going to be overun by rioters.
Man's first flights into space, his first walk on the moon, the first person to break the Sound Barrier Chuck Yeager, the hippies, the Black Panthers and full scale rioting, The Hells Angels, Charles Manson and Woodstock. This is the time period that Brokeback Mountain portrays, now while any other actor might and I say might have played the part of Jack no actor could have played the part of Ennis so precisely and perfectly as Heath Ledger. Brokeback is one of those rare Cinematic Gems that comes along once in a blue moon, like Gone With The Wind and Rebel Without A Cause. So even though the young of today may have their glory days and historical events to remember when they reach a ripe old age, this is all part of the life and times I grew up in. The young and those who were not part of them can only partake of them in books, movies, stories and as history buffs.

Over the years I have become very disappointed and disgusted with the VA health care system in Arkansas and disillusioned and dismayed with the VA in general. I've filed a Civil Rights Discrimination Complaint against the VA Regional Office in Little Rock AR and the VA hospitals as well in part due to my openly gay status, however I feel in view of the White Supremacists mentality described below, that to is being held hostage in the same manner my VA claims were and finally denied in the early part of 2003. Well it wasn't held hostage, all material I faxed to them was flat out mailed back by CAVHS.
Conway Arkansas will be holding their annual pride parade this coming June. The following is copied in part from a news story that aired on Channel 11 KTHV 4 years ago (at the time of this writing) during Conway's 2nd annual pride parade and illustrates the type of hate group mentality faced by openly gay people and doubly so for gay veterans in Arkansas. Shortly before the first annual pride parade Cow manure was spread on the Gay-Pride Parade Route.
The self-proclaimed white supremacist group from Russellville, held signs and yelled at the walkers. They also had their children holding signs.
White Revolution chairman Billy Roper says, "The homosexual agenda is unhealthy, it's perverse. Society in general, America, would be better without homosexuals." The group had two signs the police deemed offensive. They were ordered to roll them up and put them away.
Roper says, "We don't think what we're saying is any more radical or obscene than those fairies and *%@* prancing up there."

So yes the evil old witch of the East Governor Mike Beebe and all of his little flying monkey lawmakers will rule for a time with iron taxes and idiot laws for a couple of years more, so where are you Dorothy and Toto we need you to come back, and defend us and melt the evil old witch again? She’s sprung up again in the form of Mike Beebe and his greedy idiotic lawmakers. Apologies I got this sudden image of a ugly old green Witch (complete with high pointed black hat and long dress) sitting in the Arkansas Governors Chair and all her freaky flying ugly little monekys (Lawmakers) sitting in the house and Senate.
The state surplus has fallen far short of the projected amount generated by increased Tobacco Taxes, tourism is down, Revenue, is down and tobacco taxes are through the roof, Anti Smokers regardless of how bitter the pill and lead ball it is in their stomachs have to shoulder a large part of the blame for lack of Tourism and lost Revenue and all of the blame for Tobacco Taxes going through the roof. It used to be that people could light up and get rid of some of the job stress through smoking and brief social interaction with co-workers now they can't even do that because of the Anti Smoking crusaders force feeding their stinking rights down everyone throats. Some of the job stress can be directly traced back to sub-conscious resentment, tension and anger towards anti smoking crusaders in the job place which the Anti Smokering crusaders call a crock of shit. Vic Synder and Marion Berry have chosen not to seek re-election in 2010.
